• Initiate long-acting, second-generation basal insulin in a patient poorly controlled on triple therapy with metformin + sulphonylurea + GLP-1 RA
• Manage associated cardiovascular risk factors, renal function and metabolic dysfunction associated steatohepatitis in a patient with multiple comorbidities, with the aim of reducing long-term morbidity and mortality
• Reduce the risk of hypoglycaemic episodes in vulnerable patients.
