You will learn

  • To assess and improve glycaemic control of a type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patient with disease of more than 10 years’ duration
  • To amend insulin regimen from a premixed insulin to a second-generation basal insulin with further options to control prandial insulin
  • To use the opportunity of intensifying treatment to provide additional support from the multidisciplinary team (dietitian and diabetes educator) and advise on diet, correct injection techniques, and continuous glucose monitoring or self-monitored blood glucose readings at appropriate times.
