What is new in cough treatment?
This review focuses on factors affecting respiratory primary care: firstly, on new and established therapeutic approaches for cough relief and looking after the vulnerable older patient and, secondly, on the increasing use of artificial intelligence (AI) to diagnose, treat and manage these conditions and which has associated ethical implications.

- Carefully consider how to support the frail older patient with chronic cough, wheezing and dyspnoea
- Utilise artificial intelligence appropriately and ethically within pharmacy tasks related to respiratory medicine, taking due cognisance of the latest ethical guidance.
