Insulin therapy remains an integral part of T2DM management raising the clinical benefits of the fixed-ratio combination of basal insulin and GLP-RAs

Learning objectives

You will learn:

  • Reasons why insulin therapy remains integral to the management of type 2 diabetes (T2D) in the era of incretin therapies
  • Therapeutic and adherence/persistence benefits of a fixed-ratio combination of insulin and glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist therapy (iGlarLixi) for the management of T2D
  • Clinical evidence on the efficacy and safety of switching to iGlarLixi in patients with uncontrolled T2D currently using multiple oral medications ± basal insulin or premix/basal bolus insulin.
