  • An understanding of the risk factors to consider when making a diagnosis of osteoporosis
  • An understanding of FRAX, the gold-standard risk assessment tool used to determine the 10-year risk of hip or any other major osteoporotic fracture
  • An understanding of the management of osteoporosis, as determined by fracture risk, and the different approaches to pharmacotherapeutic intervention thresholds
  • An awareness of the limitations of FRAX and how certain parameters can be accommodated when determining fracture risk.
