- To assess and improve glycaemic control of a type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) patients with disease of more than 10 years’ duration
- To reassure and support a patient starting on a second-generation basal insulin
- To encourage patient participation and selection of the type of technology he/she would like to use to support control of type 2 diabetes mellitus
- To evaluate the patient experiencing an hypoglycaemic event and provide advice on how to adjust the current insulin regimen and dose to reduce this risk.
